About the Role

The National Manager – New Business Origination will play a key role in driving growth for Mitsubishi Motors by developing and executing a growth roadmap in partnership with Mitsubishi strategic fleet partners. This senior position focuses on new business origination and productivity, designing and implementing go-to-market programs to enhance the customer value proposition across the fleet management lifecycle.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Director – Fleet and Mobility, the role will leverage an evolved value proposition to attract new customers and foster strong relationships with leading fleet management organisations. Additionally, this role will apply project management principles to ensure successful implementation of initiatives and drive collaborative partnerships to meet business goals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Research and generate new business opportunities to accelerate growth of the fleet and mobility segment
  • Effectively partner with fleet management organisations to onboard new customers and major accounts into the Mitsubishi fleet portfolio
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and addressing their needs, concerns and expectations
  • Manage key projects as required, observing traditional project management principles and maintaining timelines, resources and budgets effectively

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of the fleet and fleet management industry within Australia, along with an extensive network of leading industry contacts
  • A track record as a competent and successful new business originator leader, with knowledge of sales methodologies and principles that create customer value.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, along with highly developed negotiation and influencing ability
  • Advanced presentation skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of and experience with project management, with advanced knowledge of methodologies and principles and proven track record of successful project implementation
